            We offer comprehensive junior and senior programs or hourly appointments to:
          • Assist with creating a balanced list of colleges
          • Create individualized timelines for the application process
          • Plan itineraries for college visits
          • Help prepare an organized and comprehensive activity resume
          • Prepare and practice for college interviews
          • Help with the college essay writing process
          • Review applications and coordinate their completion and submission
          • Create Athletic Resumes and Coach Letters

            At College Counseling Associates, we can:
          • Act as intermediaries between parents and students in this complex process
          • Provide expert knowledge and support during the application process
          • Review options to find the best college fit
          • Help with making a final decision about where to attend
          • Work with student athletes, transfer students, and students with unique    circumstances such as learning disabilities and lower GPAs

            Transfer Students
            It is not uncommon for college students to re-evaluate their goals and decide that their current school is not meeting their needs. For these students we can:
          • Help with choosing appropriate programs and schools
          • Assist with writing a personal statement that reflects their current situation
          • Coordinate applications and credentials
          • Act as a liaison to follow up with applications
            • Students Applying from Abroad
            The U.S. college application process is already complicated, and even more so when you are applying from abroad. You need a reliable state-side resource to:
          • Help in choosing appropriate programs and schools
          • Assist with coordinating applications and credentials
          • Act as a liaison to follow-up with your applications

            Learning Differences
            For students with documented learning differences, we look at the following:
          • Different college programs require different documentation. We check    documentation to make sure that it is both recent enough and appropriate.
          • We visit college LD offices to familiarize ourselves with what is offered.
          • We help students write a personal statement that reflects an understanding of their    individual academic strengths and weaknesses.
          • We help students become self-advocates to ensure their success once in college.
          • We help students stay organized and on track during the application process.
          • We help students choose a college that is the best match for their specific needs.

            Students with low GPAs
            College Counseling Associates works with students of all GPA levels and helps them calculate their GPAs according to the colleges to which they are applying. We have an extensive, frequently updated database that shows average GPAs for many colleges and universities to help students assess their chances for admission.
